INTRODUCTION（どうにゅう）[/ˌɪntrəˈdʌkʃən/]名詞

解説

悪魔がその召使いたちの満足と
敵を苦しめるために発明した代物。

この「紹介」なるものは、
この国で最も悪意ある発展を遂げており、

実際、我々の政治体制と密接に関わっている。
すべてのアメリカ人が他のすべてのアメリカ人と
平等である以上、誰もが互いを知る権利を持ち、
それは、要求も許可もなく紹介する権利を意味する。

独立宣言はこう読まれるべきだった。

社交儀礼を皮肉っている。

当時のアメリカ社会では、
「すべてのアメリカ人は平等」
という独立宣言の精神が、
誰でも誰にでも紹介状なしに
人を紹介する権利として
拡大解釈されていた。

この文章は、厄介な知人を

A social ceremony invented by the devil for the gratification of his servants and the plaguing of his enemies. The introduction attains its most malevolent development in this country, being, indeed, closely related to our political system. Every American being the equal of every other American, it follows that everybody has the right to know everybody else, which implies the right to introduce without request or permission. The Declaration of Independence should have read thus:
