ブーリオブーラ・ガーでは、腹部を明るい青色に塗り、牛の尾を身につけている男性は、儀式の際に人前に出ても恥ずかしくない姿である。ニューヨークでは、気が向けば腹の塗装を省略してもよいが、日没後は羊の毛でできて黒く染められた二本の尾を着用しなければならない。
